Phonology I and Phonology II
Elicit a large number of productions and provide interesting auditory bombardment sessions. These CDs are based on the Phonological approach to remediating unintelligible speech. Target patterns are: final consonants; initial consonants; initial S clusters; initial L and R clusters; and two and three syllable words. Clients develop receptive and expressive reading readiness skills and improve speech production. Phonology I has six games: Minimal Pairs, Word Practice, Patterns, Word Blending, Match Ups!, Whats Wrong? plus Reproducibles. Phonology II has eight games: Who Am I?, Dozin’ Off, Yumpin’ Yimminy!, Bouncin’ Bubbles, Gone Fishin’, Clownin’ Around, Bear-ly Lit, Match Ups! and Reproducibles.

Phonology I uses lots of colorful drawings with simple exercises. The client listens to the words and identifies objects in the drawings without extraneous distractions. Phonology II has exercises that have a whimsical element to them, while still focusing on eliciting repetitions. Clients pop bubbles, help a bulldozer do its work, fill a pond with lily pads for a frog, catch fish, grab flying objects as two clowns juggle them, and help a bear locate his honey jars. And all the while they practice their target phonological patterns.
