Learning the Division Tables

There’s only one way to learn the division tables and that is to memorize them. Start on the left and say the equations aloud. Think about the words as you say them. e.g. Four divided by two is two, six divided by two is three, etc. Once you have them down it’s time to practice.

You can limit the largest number to 4, 6, 8, 10, or 13.

1 ÷ 1 = 1

2 ÷ 1 = 2

3 ÷ 1 = 3

4 ÷ 1 = 4

2 ÷ 2 = 1

6 ÷ 2 = 3

8 ÷ 2 = 4

3 ÷ 3 = 1
